Here are some examples of my art work on how I do it.

Welcome to my world. A wonderful world that I have created from my mind. Within every painting I have made, I will try find spirit within the person I paint. To find color, shape ,shadow and contrast. To make the painting come  alive.
My observation is the ability to see and mentally record with feeling and understanding not only the unusual, but the seemingly unimportant, commonplace things. I can see the things of the subject, of which the untrained eye can misses. The picture for which can enables you to recognize and select the small things that become really the big part of the picture. It is the heart of the ability to report and record the spirit of the subject.

Stages in watercolor steps.

First stage

First step 1 The first thing I’ve usually do is to check the size of the

head to the body. Babies 3½ to 4 heads, toddlers 4 heads and preadolescence is usually about 5 to 5½, and teens to adulthood are about 6 heads. 2Now once you have found the scale. Then you find the angle of the head and draw a straight line between the eyes nose and lips. A face looking directly at you is divided in haft for the eyes then for the nose and last haft for the lips. Then I’d usually start with the lips center it and making right angle. For the scale of the head. 3

Second stage

Second step The next thing I do is what I call the wash.1This portion of the painting will make the pencil marks invisible to the eye. This is where I to use a very low contrast color or the color closed to white. It is very thin wet on wet type base. This where I will try to make land marks for the next stage. The darker points will point to shape and movement. This is what I call the first layer.2

Third stage

Third step The next thing I do is the face hands and feet.1 I start with

the eyes. Starting on the point where the eye meet the skin. There is light point, that goes out from the tear duck to dark point at the other end. This is where the eye lashes come out. It has a pink purple inside and a dark brown outside. Then this is where I connect the pupil with the eye rim, making a dark ring for the pupil and a dark point for the middle of the eye. The fill it in with the color of the eyes, leaving out a white point which give that sparkle to it.2Then I move on to eye socket.

Last stage

Final step Next is the finale phase where I can bring out the detail in the body and bring out contrast.
